Becoming a psychotherapist seems like a really appealing prospect for a lot of people. There are plenty of TV shows and TV series featuring charming psychotherapists and “mind gurus” who appear to always know what they’re doing. And then there are a lot of books on the subject, and tons of stories to impress anyone ready to listen (or read).
In the first article in this mini-series about becoming a psychotherapist we analyzed a few of the positive and motivating aspects of this field, and from that perspective it all looked pretty tempting.
